Abstract:The proportional valve is the core component of the adjustable damping shock absorber, and its dynamic characteristics directly affect the damping adjustment effect of the shock absorber.A proportional valve for shock absorber was proposed. The structure and working principle of the shock absorber were introduced. The dynamic characteristic model of the valve was established, and its dynamic characteristics were simulated and analyzed. The effects of the excitation voltage, load differential pressure, motion damping coefficient and the mass of the spool and armature on the rising time and response time of the spool were studied. The results show that the higher the excitation voltage is, the smaller the load pressure difference is, the smaller the damping coefficient is, the shorter the proportional valve response time and the spool rising time are; the mass of the spool and armature assembly has less influence on the dynamic time domain characteristics of the proportional valve.
