Abstract:Aiming at the problem of oil-starvation lubrication of floating ring bearings, based on Reynolds equation, the starvation lubrication model of floating ring bearings was established. The mathematical model was solved by finite difference method with variable oil supply at the inlet of lubricating oil. The influence of oil supply on the static characteristics of oil film force for inside and outside floating ring bearings was analyzed. The results show that the oil supply obviously affects the starting angle of lubricating oil film force and bearing ring velocity ratio,and the friction power consumption increases with the decrease of oil supply of floating ring bearing.
