Abstract:PCBN tools were used for highspeed milling of TC4 alloy based on single factor experiment. Cutting force and cutting vibration were measured and analyzed with different cutting parameters. Cutting parameter optimization method was proposed considering cutting force, cutting vibration and surface roughness. The results show that with cutting speed and feed per tooth increasing, the cutting force and cutting vibration have a certain fluctuation. As the radial cutting depth and axial cutting depth increasing, the cutting force and cutting vibration increase. The cutting force has a significant influence on cutting vibration. Considering the cutting performance, the cutting parameters optimization model was established, taking the maximum rate of metal removal as optimization objective, the cutting force, cutting vibration and surface roughness as the constraint conditions. The optimized cutting parameters under different constraints condition were obtained.
