Abstract:In order to solve the problems of the complexity of parts measurement in CMM at present, a technology of CMM measurement based on three dimensional (3D) printing was proposed. In order to make sure the products could be measured in A0B0 which was the highest precision direction of CMM probe, auxiliary jig was often needed. Firstly, the optical scanning technology was used to obtain the product surface datas. Then data were processed in Geomagic Studio software. The mesh face was imported into the Rapidform software to model and design the product jig. And the designed final model was imported into 3D printer to gain the jig model. Finally, the product was placed in the jig to be measured. The test has proven that the efficiency of complex parts measurement with CMM is improved using this method.
