Abstract:Elevator is an important vertical transport vehicle for people, there are always risks for passenger to ride elevators, to make those risks maintain at an acceptable level, it is required by government that every elevator in use shall be inspected periodically, even under those conditions, some accidents still happens. In order to supervise and minimize the risk and finally reduce the probability of accidents in elevators, an risk model for elevators based on historical inspection data which are required in TSG7001 regulation is built, the risk model measures the risk of elevator using several factors such as usage time, rate velocity, rate capacity, use location, manufacture, installation as well as maintenance factor. The risk values for a group of elevators have been calculated by the proposed risk model, a risk distribution for those elevators have also been obtained, risk management method has been proposed for dealing with high risk level elevators.
