Abstract:Combining the structure and performance advantages of stator-permanent-magnet hybrid stepping motor and super hybrid stepping motor,a super tooth-layer-permanent-magnet hybrid stepping motor was proposed,in which permanent magnetic strips were placed merely in stator and rotor tooth-layer slots. It is characterized by the simple stator and rotor structure, high torque and power density,2D distributed electromagnetic field,as well as convenient design, analysis and calculation. The structural characteristics, operation principle and torque raising mechanism of the motor were analyzed theoretically.Based on the normalized analysis method and 2D finite element calculation, the influence of tooth-layer parameters variation such as tooth height, tooth width, tooth pitch and air gap on the motor performance such as no-load back EMF,detent torque, output torque, torque ripple and holding torque was explored, and the tooth-layer parameters optimization design criteria of this kind of motor were proposed. Moreover, performance comparisons of the stator- yoke permanent magnet hybrid stepping motor, the stator tooth-layer-permanent-magnet one and the proposed super tooth-layer-permanent-magnet one with the same specifications were carried out.The results verify the correctness of the theoretical analysis and the superiority of both structure and performance of the newly proposed motor.
