Abstract:In order to evaluate meshing performance of Gleason cycloid bevel gear comprehensively,the systematic evaluation method including tooth surface mismatch analysis,tooth contact simulation and loaded tooth contact simulation was proposed.The cutter head mathematical model and tilt cutting mathematical model were established,and the theoretical tooth surface was derived.The pinion based tooth surface conjugated with gear and the calculation method of Ease off topography were studied.On the basis,the analytical calculation method of tooth surface contact analysis was studied based on gear meshing mathematical model,and the finite element simulation flow of loaded tooth surface contact analysis was established.Finally,taking a pair of Gleason cycloid bevel gear as an example,the tooth surface mismatch analysis and tooth contact simulation were carried out.The simulation result is consistent with the Gleason software,therefore the correctness of tooth surface contact simulation is verified.And the results show that the loaded tooth surface contact analysis by finite element method is more intuitive in terms of meshing performance evaluation.
