Abstract:At present, PC industrial control machines, motion control cards or programmable logic controllers are generally used as the control system hardware platform of selective laser sintering printers at home and abroad, which is not only complicated to operate, but also expensive. To address the problem, a laser sintering printer control system based on ARM was designed. In the designed system, STM32 controller was used as the main control unit, the corresponding expansion circuit and humanmachine interface were enriched and improved, to achieve the control to the laser, temperature as well as the motor motion. Based on the designed control system, the prototype was built for sintering experiments. The results show that each module of the control system runs stably, and the processed parts have smooth surface and clear structure. In addition, the equipment cost is greatly reduced while meeting the basic process requirements.
