Key technologies such as turret disks and tool couplings of modular driven tool turrets were analyzed. Toothed belt and bevel gears were used to design radial system driven tool turrets, and gears mechanism were used to design axial system driven tool turrets. Hydraulic control system was used for turret clamping and live tool engaging control was designed. Electrical components such as servo motors with encoder and proximity switches were chosen, working cycle was arranged, and wiring diagrams were drawn. Prototypes of radial system driven tool turrets and axial system driven tool turrets were produced.
