Abstract:By the cutting marble contrast experiment between abrasive water jet and high polymeric additives added at different concentration of abrasive water jet, the surface roughness of the kerf in the different station was measured under different working conditions. The experiment result shows that high polymeric additives abrasive water jet can reduce the cutting seam surface roughness than abrasive water jet under same working condition, and the quality of cutting seam surface is improved. The high polymeric additive with different concentration has different influence on surface roughness, and the optimal concentration is 3×10-4 in this experiment. When the feeding speed is too slow or too fast in abrasive water jet cutting, the target distance for the minimum surface roughness is smaller than that of normal feeding speed. The target distance for the minimum surface roughness is consistent in high polymeric additives abrasive water jet cutting in different feeding speed.
