Abstract:In order to understand milling forces properties of amorphous alloys, characteristics of milling forces and influence by milling parameters are studied by orthogonal experiment with samples contrast of Zrbased bulk amorphous alloys(Vit1 BMG)and 45 steels. The force empirical formula of milling force was established by using linear regression method under the experimental conditions. Experimental results show that there is the maximum amorphous alloys milling force in Yaxis, minimum in Xaxis, and milling force in Yaxis is affected easily by changes in milling parameters, followed in Xaxis and almost null in Zaxis. Axial depth and radial depth of cutting have impact on the milling force obviously, and very small effect on feed rate and cutting speed.
