Abstract:High pressure water jet technology used for mines detection, which is a grand new research field. However, distribution of water jet problem involved to the detection process, existed diverter was not able to generate stability, uniform jet distribution, both compression area and center of pressure was great which had a risk of inflation and plumping up. In order to solve this problem, a new type of diverter for high pressure water jet is designed. The export pressure and flow velocity at every exit were analyzed by FLUENT, which shows they were nearly the same in both. Finally, it is proved of the practicability of the new diverter through experiment, which helps to produce stable and uniform multibeam of jet.
