Abstract:Blade is one of the most important components of aircraft engine, its three dimensional (3D) digital model is always monopolized by foreign engine manufacturers. In order to obtain 3D digital model of an aircraft engine blade, a method on blade digital model reconstruction was put forward based on mass of point cloud data. Blade point cloud data was collected by using laser scanner. In the preprocessing part of point cloud data, alignment and simplification were done. After point cloud data crosssection was converted into time domain signal, filtering was done by introducing single tree wavelet packet analysis method, and it was divided into the basin and back surface of blade through the coordinate transformation. According to the type of blade surface characteristics, boundary fitting was done for the cross section of blade by using different methods.Repeated the abovementioned processes, the 3D digital model of blade was established by using skinning surface method. The experimental results show that the model of blade by above method has good smoothness and accuracy, and the modeling efficiency is improved significantly.
