As an important feature of paver, the screed hydraulic leveling system is the most critical system that affecting the flatness of the paving road. Once having a failure, it will seriously affect the quality of paving the road. By taking the paver hydraulic leveling system of SP120 as the research object, the fault diagnosis method based on fuzzy fault tree theory was put forward through the analysis of the failure forms of the system. The fuzzy fault tree of the system was set up, and event fuzzy analysis as well as fuzzy algorithm study was conducted. The results show that the algorihm is feasible. Finally, the system fault prevention and maintenance measures were put forward.
