When preparing test board which is used to do the mechanical properties test of deposited metals, one method is to use the welding fixture to load constraint to the test board, the other is to add the reverse deformation before welding it. The former exist welding stress after welding which can not be ignored. Both require an independent set of welding fixture which will undoubtedly increase production cost. Aiming at this problem, a welding fixture was designed which could be used to do the mechanical properties test of deposited metals. The body of this welding fixture could be rotated in a horizontal plane with arbitrary angle and the support plane could be rotated arbitrary angle in a vertical plane within 30°. No rigid fixation was exerted to workpiece during welding, so the workpiece could do free deformation in order to reduce welding stress. An artificial deformation which had opposite direction and equal size with the pre-estimated value was given to the test board through the rotation of the support plate in the vertical plane in the welding assembly, so the welding structure could attain a correct shape. The rotation of the workpiece could be achieved without moving it when finishing a weld bead and the continued rotation could be limited by a set of limiting device when rotating to the required angle. Both the dial scale and hinge of the welding fixture had guard board which was convenient to assemble or disassemble so as to achieve a rapid replacement when the guard board damaged.
